From start to finish, the process can take anywhere from 12 to 16 weeks. Once we receive your service request form, a client service representative will contact you to schedule a free 15-minute discovery call with a member of our research and development team. Upon completion of the call, you will receive a quote. When you are ready to start services, you will receive a retainer agreement and an invoice via email that outline all fees and services included. You will only be required to pay a 50% deposit to commence the project. After receiving the initial deposit, our research and development team will begin sourcing ingredients and developing the requested formulation. Within 2–4 weeks, you will receive samples of the finished product. After receiving the prototypes, you can choose to revise or approve them. Should you reject the sample, we gladly offer up to three free revisions to your custom or semi-custom formula. Additional revisions may incur additional fees. The remaining balance is due upon approval of the prototypes. Once the remaining balance is satisfied, we will commence accelerated stability testing. If you have opted for additional testing, it will start at this time as well. After the results are received, you will be notified and provided with a commercial license agreement or intellectual property (IP) assignment agreement, as well as the complete written formula.

Our research and development fee for a semi-custom formulation starts at $2,500 per product, and a custom formulation starts at $4,000 per product. Pricing may vary depending on the product type, ingredients, or international regulations, if applicable. We gladly offer discounts and bundle deals.

Our research and development fees include pilot batches, 10- to 12-week accelerated shelf life stability testing, antimicrobial efficacy testing (also known as PET and USP-51), shipping costs, product label information, and raw material vendor information.
