Meet Our Award-Winning
Lead Formulation Chemist
Mrs. Alexis "Lexi" Forbes-Moorehead is a Bahamian-American award-winning cosmetic scientist and business coach born in Miami, Florida. She received her bachelor's degrees in chemistry and psychology from Florida International University's College of Arts, Sciences, and Education and her cosmetic formulation training from the Institute of Personal Care Science.

Lexi serves as the Executive Director of Breaking Barriers in Beauty Foundation, Inc., and is currently a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists' Diversity & Inclusion Insights Committee. She is the recipient of the 2023 Green Star™ Award for her Eco Botanical Hair Conditioner Pod Formulation. The Green Star™ Award is presented by the Society of Cosmetic Chemists to recognize a innovative, green, and sustainable formulation developed during the past 12-month period.

Equipped with a strong business acumen, Lexi is credentialed through the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and holds a Business Specialist Certificate from Broward College. Her interests include environmental protection, animal welfare, poverty alleviation, mental health awareness, science, and technology.
